It does not include independents, official Labour candidates, or candidates standing for other non-leftist parties (even if some of them are known to have been members of far left groups). Subject to that restriction I have aimed for completeness, which may mean I have erred on the side of generosity in defining ‘the left’: the inclusion of a given party does not mean I necessarily endorse its line or would have voted for its candidates. I have also aimed for accuracy, but it is quite likely some mistakes still remain—please let me know by email if you spot any.
